I don't know how I can start... Well, since I listened to Death I changed my life! It's beautiful! His lyrics, sound, vocalization, leaves me speechless. I knew when I was about 5 years, the MTV television show, now I have 16, but then when I saw them in a special program about Death and about my beloved Chuck Schuldiner. Well I grew up a little more and I began to listen more often, it has helped me a lot, especially in difficult times. My biggest dream would have been able to create a CHARLES CHUCK SCHULDINER'S DAY, and I wish he were alive to continue to delight with his music and talent that will never compare. That more and better example than him, fight to the end, have a beautiful sensitivity, this gift that was given, a creator! I just wanna say to Chuck, Death, Control Denied and their members: THANKS FOR ALL! You are the greatest, have inspired many many people.

No se como empezar... bueno, desde que escuché a Death, cambió mi vida, es algo hermoso, sus letras, sonido, vocalización, me deja sin palabras, los conocí cuando tenía unos 5 años, en el programa de televisión MTV, ahora tengo 16, pero en ese momento los vi en un programa especial de la muerte de mi querido y amado Chuck Schuldiner, bueno luego crecí un poco más y empecé a escucharles mas seguido, me ha servido mucho, sobre todo en momentos difíciles, sería mi mayor sueño haber podido conocer algún día a Charles, y ojalá estuviera vivo para seguir deleitandonos con su música y ese talento que nunca se le comparará... Que mayor y mejor ejemplo que el de él, luchar hasta el final, tener una sensibilidad hermosa, ese don que se le fue dado, un creador!!! ... solo decir a Chuck, Death, Control Denied y sus integrantes, GRACIAS POR TODO, son lo máximo, han servido de inspiración para muchos, y la salvación para algunos...

Remembering Chuck: A short zombie love story

Eric Greif: "Our good friend Jeremy Wagner, whom you might know from the bands Broken Hope and Lupara, has written a short zombie love story called 'Romance Ain't Dead' that is found in the current anthology Hungry For Your Love. Jeremy's classic tale of boy meets girl, girl dies, boy has voodoo doctor neighbor zombify girl, boy & zombie girl live together is fully illustrated with Annie's cat characters. My daughter Anna has made this animation in honor of it that I hope you'll all share. Jeremy, by the way, is contributing liner notes to the Relapse reissue of Leprosy! ERIC!"

Chuck Schuldiner: One in a million

As a bit of a guitarist myself trying to form a Death Metal band, Chuck Schuldiner's influence has been immense! The man was a pioneer in his field, and much ahead of many of his comtemporaries. Chuck could write powerful, intricate riffs, beautiful melodies and harmonies, thoughtful and intelligent lyrics, but he could also write some nasty, evil ones, and some just plain heavy riffs; lke a brick. He had alot to offer musically, and it is a tragedy to everyone; not just Death fans; that he died before he could really explore more. Music is an art, it is all painting pictures. Mr. Schuldiner could paint so many shades, and twists into a genre dominated by just black and white. 

I wish he had the oppurntunity to paint with more colors, and indulge more people into his genius. Chuck had an incredible lead tone; one in a million. He also had the tendancy to pick muscitians to play with who also had very powerful, very unique tones. A guitar tone is like a voice, and his reflected a very calm, intelligent, powerful man. Chuck, his bandmates, his music, and his influence will live on, and will be appreciated by more in the future, and I am glad to help keep his memory alive, and I am glad that websites like Death TR are here to publish tributes like these.
